Ben Escamilla's story began in the shallow flats surrounding Corpus Christi. Growing up in the heart of coastal Texas, the rhythm of the tides and the flight patterns of waterfowl became second nature. In 2017, when his family acquired their first boat, a lifelong hobby transformed into a deep-seated calling.
What started as weekend trips evolved into a pursuit of technical mastery. Ben fell in love with the precision of wade fishing and the artistry of fly fishing in the Lower Laguna Madre. These waters aren't just a workspace; they are where his most cherished memories were made.
In 2025, after years of honing his craft and obtaining his Captain’s License, Ben founded Escamilla Outfitters. Today, he shares that same passion with every client, ensuring that every trip into the wild is as meaningful as his very first catch.
